Media witness in disciplinary inquiry on Mervyn – Keheliya

August 19, 2010   01:11 pm

Though there were no direct complaints against former Dept. Minister Mervyn Silva, media has served as a witness and that will be considered during the disciplinary inquiry, Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said today. He added that what was revealed by media will be instrumental in whatever decision the inquiry makes.

Silva was sacked from his dept. Minister post and his SLFP membership was suspended pending disciplinary inquiry over the incident where he tied a Samurdhi official to a tree for allegedly failing to carry out his duties.
