Disciplinary committee to reconvene today

The special disciplinary committee appointed by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) to probe former Deputy Minister Mervin Silva is scheduled to gather today.

 

The three member committee gathered for the first time last Friday to inquire about Member of Parliament, Mervin Silva who is accused of tying a Samurdhi officer to a tree at Kelaniya for absenting himself from am anti-dengue campaign.

 

The committee is headed by President’s Counsel Jayantha Weerasinghe while the other two members are Attorney-at-Law N.M. Saheed and Mahinda Samarasekera who will also be the secretary to the committee.
