Basil to India on two-day tour

Sri Lanka’s economic development Basil Rajapaksa is to leave for India today on a two-day official tour. He is scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other high ranking state officials.

Present development trends in the island and the recent development in the north and east are to take prominence during discussions to be held between the Indian and Sri Lankan government officials.

Minister Basil Rajapaksa will also brief the Indian Premier and officials of the infrastructure and livelihoods development that have been carried out in the North and East.
