Release kidnapped party member, demands TMVP

The TMVP today alleged that one its Municipal Council Members had been kidnapped on Monday while he was returning from work. The party in a statement protested the kidnapping and demanded that the party member be released immediately.

 

The party threatened to start a protest if its Batticaloa Municipal Council member Sahayamani Pirahasan was not released within three days.

 

However when contacted Police spokesman Prishanth Jayakodi stated that the police had not received any complaints yet regarding the matter.
