UNP appoints committee for local government election

 The United National Party has appointed a new committee for the upcoming Local Government election. UNP Chairman, Gamini Jayawickrama said that the UNP aim to enter the Local Government election as a strong party with the appointing of this new committee.

 

Gamini Jayawickrama who is also the chairman of this committee said that Karu Jayasuriya has been appointed as the Chief of the said committee which also includes parliamentarians Tissa Attanayake and Joseph Michael Perera.

 

He also said that the committee is due to submit proposals as to how the UNP will face the upcoming Local Government election.
