VIDEO: I nominated knowing TNA would reject - Ranil

I nominated Sumandiran knowing that they would reject it, Opposition leader Ranil Wickremasinghe said a short while ago. He added that this was a step taken by him to cripple the government.

Wickremasinghe further explained that since he has nominated Sumandiran and he will not be attending the commission the President will be forced to remove Sumandiran. He added that after which he would appoint another in Sumandiran’s place and the President would be forced to again remove that individual again.

Wickremasinghe claimed that the amendment was brought with bad intentions and through which the government tried to cripple the opposition. According him now he has in turn crippled the government.
