The Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LL&RC) which is holding its latest sessions in Kilinochchi says that there is no media censorship over the proceedings.

Any media could come to Kilinochchi and cover the proceedings, LL&RC Coordinating Secretary G.A. Gunawardene told Adaderana a short while ago. He added that all facilities have been made available to all media personnel who wished to cover the proceedings in Kilinochchi.

This was in response to inquiries over a BBC report stating that it had been barred from covering the proceedings in Kilinochchi.

Director General of the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) Lakshman Hulugalle too confirmed that there was no censorship imposed on the media and that any media could cover the proceedings.
