Batti to mourn Karadiyanaru victims: TMVP

Batticaloa District will consider Sunday September 19 as a day of mourning, says the Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP). The incident at Karadiyanaru is tragic at a time the area was enjoying the dividends of peace, states the party.


The TMVP sates that all political and other groups are to hoist white flags as a mark of respect to those police personnel and civilians who lost their lives in this tragic incident. The party also expresses its condolences to the next of kin of those victims, states TMVP General Secretary K. Kaileswararajan.
