The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has informed the Colombo Magistrate’s Court that they have sought the Attorney General’s advice as to what actions should be taken regarding the former woman leader of the LTTE’s political wing, Subramaniam Sivagami alias Thamilini.

At the same hearing the attorney of Thamilini pleaded with the court to release the suspect on bail. Subramaniam Sivagami alias Thamilini was produced before court at the hearing.

The CID further pointed out that even though the advice of the Attorney General was sought they haven’t received any reply from him regarding the matter. The Magistrate then ordered that the suspect be kept in remand until the AG’s advice is received.
