UNP leaders to assemble today

Leaders of the United National Party (UNP) are scheduled to gather today for a special assembly. It is reported that the aim of the meeting is to discuss the party’s reforms process and future plan of actions.
It has also been decided by the UNP to present MP Lakshman Seneviratna’s Mahiyangana seatChief Organizers post to another member of the party after the Parliamentarian had publicly expressed his support to the government recently.
It is said that the UNP will reach a final decision on the matter at today’s meeting.
