Landslide threat near Ramboda Falls, motorists warned

Due to the continuing torrential rains there is a landslide threat on the Kandy-Nuwaraeliya road near the Ramboda Falls, Nuwara Eliya District Secretary D.P.G. Kumarasiri. Motorists have been advised not to stop at the usual area where people stop to view the falls.

 

Also rising water levels of the Kala Weva has caused flooding along the Puttalam – Mannar road.

 

At least one person is feared dead due to the floods from Galle after he was swept away by floodwater and is still missing.
