Car driver arrested after running over, killing beggar

The driver of a car was arrested by police today after he ran over and killed a homeless man on the street near the Weligampitiya Junction in Kandana.
Police said the incident occurred at around 5.30am this morning and that the identity of the victims has still not been ascertained.
The driver of the car was arrested by Kandana Police.
