Jeewan Jayasinghe wins gold in Cycling event

Sri Lanka’s Jeewan Jayasinghe wins Gold medal in the cycling event at the 12th South Asian Games being held in India.
Sri Lanka currently sits at 2nd place in the overall gold medal tally at the games which is being held simultaneously in Guwahati and Shillong in India from February 6 to 16, 2016.
Sri Lanka has won a total of 23 medals including 5 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze.
India is on top with 16 gold and 6 silver medals.
