Discussion on Media Ministry Secretary’s statement with PM today

May 2, 2016   08:57 am

A discussion will be held between Secretary of the Ministry of Mass Media and Parliamentary Affairs Nimal Bopage and the Prime Minister on a letter issued by the Ministry regarding the use of the term ‘Joint Opposition’.

Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka will too attend the meeting scheduled to be held at the PM’s office this afternoon (02).

However, Minister Karunathilaka earlier said that the letter issued by Nimal Bopage regarding the term ‘Joint Opposition’ is not the government’s stance and only a personal request by the latter.
