Tax increase on vehicles, VAT not permanent - Ashoka

The tax increase on vehicles and Value Added Tax (VAT) are not permanent, Deputy Minister of Transport Ashoka Abeysinghe said.


He added the Government had no intention to get people in trouble with the tax hike.


He also held the former Government and its reckless economic strategy of accountable for the recent tax increase.


The observation was made at an event held in Hatton.
