Stern action against those defying court orders - IGP

Stern action will be taken against anyone attempting to defy court orders and engage in political activities, IGP Pujith Jayasundara said today.

He added that different parties had planned protest marches and membership drives today however the Kandy and Mawanella courts have issued directives regarding such activities. There is a potential for violence and unruly behavior due to these planned marches and that police are keeping a watchful eye on any misdoings during political activities, he added.
