Ex-Directors of SLTDA remanded

Three former Directors attached to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority have been remanded until September 6, Ada Derana reporter said.


The suspects were remanded after being produced before the Fort Magistrate this afternoon (23).


The Financial Crime Investigation Division (FCID) arrested the former Directors as they arrived to give a statement on the allegation of allocating funds amounting to Rs. 5.7 million of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority for the election campaign during the Uva Provincial Council elections, Ada Derana reporter added.

The suspects will be produced before the Magistrate again on September 06.
