PRECIFAC summons Rishad Bathiudeen

Minister of Industries and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen today arrived at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC).

The minister was summoned by the commission to record a statement regarding alleged financial irregularities which had taken place when importing rice for Sathosa under the previous government. 

It is said that Bathiudeen is being questioned regarding the matter as he is the current minister in charge of Sathosa.
