A man sentenced to death over murder

A person has been sentenced to death by the Jaffna High Court over the killing of a married couple in the Nirweli area in 2011.
The sentence was given yesterday (29) by the Jaffna High Court N. Ilancheliyan.
The 50-year-old suspect was arrested by the Kopai Police and charged over the double murder which took place on December 08, 2011.
He was also ordered to pay a compensation of Rs. 1 million to the victims’ family.
