Govt. to set Sugar Stabilization Fund, maximum retail price for chicken

The Finance Minister says that Sugar Stabilization Fund will be set up with 2% CESS imposed on imported sugar and 5% on ethanol.


Further, Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said that he suggests to stabilize the price of broiler chicken stipulating the maximum retail price to Rs.420 (per kilo).
