Two persons arrested with 45 kg of Kerala Ganja

Sri Lanka Navy personnel attached to SLNS Buwaneka located in Nachchikuda in the North Central Naval Command have arrested 2 suspects with 45 kg of Kerala Cannabis, in the sea area of Erukkulampiddi.

The 2 suspects were attempting to transfer the stock of cannabis by a traditional boat (Wallam) into the country when they were intercepted by the naval personnel who were on a special dinghy patrol on Monday (16). 

The arrested persons and stock of cannabis were handed over to Adampan Police for onward legal action, SLN said.
