Toronto to fund infrastructure projects in Jaffna

The City Council of Toronto will be providing financial assistance for the development of Infrastructure in the district of Jaffna.

The  agreement declaring the transaction official, was signed by the Mayor of Toronto, John Tory and the Chief Minister of the Northern province C .V. Vigneswaran, at the Auditorium of Public Library in Jaffna. 

The funds will be used for the development of health care facilities, educational facilities and other infrastructure developments. 

Vigneswaran stated that although a set amount was not stated in the agreement that was signed, a figure will be decided upon in the future.
