Uncle abuses underage niece in Mundalama

A suspect was arrested by the Mundalama police for allegedly sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl in Palliwasalpaduwa, Mundalama.
The arrestee is said to be the uncle of the victim.
Police investigations revealed that the victim lived under the care of her aunt as the victim’s mother worked overseas.
The arrested suspect is due to be produced before the Puttalam Magistrate.
The victim has been admitted to the Puttalam Base hospital for medical investigations.
Further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Mundalama police.
