Resistance against gazette on motorbikes

Chairman of the National Council for Road Safety, Sisira Kodagoda, said that some people have objected to the draft notification to be submitted for the regulation of three wheelers and motorcycles. 


The resolution stated a few clauses which included, the installment of a mandatory taxi meter, and the handing over of goods left in three wheelers, to the police were objected against. 

Sisira Kodagoda further added that  an amended gazette paper will be issued, regarding the guidelines adhered to the use of helmets when on motor bikes.
