Contempt of Court case against Padeniya: hearing scheduled for August

A date has been set for the hearing of the case against the President of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA), Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya on charges of allegedly undermining the Court of Appeal.

Accordingly, the Court of Appeal has made the decision to schedule the hearing for the 02 of August.

The date was finalized by the Appeal Court after reviewing the charge sheet based on the complaint filed by Professor Sarath Wijesuriya and Gamini Viyangoda, Ada Derana court correspondent said.
