Armed robbery at private bank in Mirigama

A private bank has been robbed by two armed men who had arrived on a motorcycle in Mirigama, Gampaha. 

Police sources revealed that the suspects threatened the bank employees and customers with a T56 assault rifle and a pistol before robbing the bank. 

The armed robbers had reportedly left the motorcycle they had used to travel to the bank and fled using a different motorcycle. 

Mirigama Police has launched an investigation into the incident.
