SLFP and UNP to discuss future of coalition government

MPs and Ministers of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the United National Party (UNP) are scheduled to meet the President and the Prime Minister in order to discuss the continuation of the coalition government.
The discussion will be taking place at 7.30 pm tonight (19).
The discussion aims to discuss in detail the potential continuation of the coalition government and to arrive at a consensus about several plans for the future.
Meanwhile, government sources reveal that the SLFP constitution drafting committee will be meeting at the SLFP headquarters prior to the joint meeting of the two parties.
Accordingly, the committee headed by Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva is due to convene at 6.00 pm today (19).
The committee meeting aims to discuss the new constitution extensively.
SLFP central council members will also be attending said committee meeting.
