Minimize harm caused by alcohol and drug abuse in Sri Lanka - Bandula

MP Bandula Gunawardena revealed that the distilleries license fee had been reduced from Rs. 100 million to Rs. 1 million, and declared that a policy must be introduced in order to mitigate the harm caused to the country through the use of liquor and narcotics.

He stated this at the parliamentary session which took place yesterday (22).

The MP added that a widespread discussion among various sectors and religious leaders must be held in order to mitigate the harm caused by such intoxicating substances.
