Arundika Fernando summoned to FCID

Deputy Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs Arundika Fernando arrived at the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) in the morning today (26) to give a statement.

Ada Derana reporters verified that the Deputy Minister had arrived at the premises moments ago based on a notice issued by the FCID, in order to give a statement.

According to reports, Deputy Minister Arundika Fernando had met with the former Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Russia, Udayanga Weeratunga in Japan. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Udayanga Weeratunga.

Accordingly, the Deputy Minister was summoned by the FCID to obtain his statement regarding the encounter in Japan.
