Special meeting between Army and Navy Commanders

Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake and Navy Commander Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne had a special meeting, marking the first official encounter between the two parties after Vice Admiral Wijegunaratne officially assumed his duties as Navy Commander.

Navy Media Spokesperson Lieutenant Commander Chaminda Walakuluge stated that the meeting had taken place at the Navy Headquarters yesterday (14).

The Media Spokesperson also reported that the Army Commander had been welcomed by a symbolic guard of honour by the Sri Lanka Navy.
