Pedestrian killed in motor accident

One person was killed in an accident which took place in Galle-Colombo road close to Maha Induruwa fair.

The accident took place when a pedestrian was run over by a motor vehicle, the police said.

The pedestrian succumbed due to severe injuries upon being admitted to the hospital.

The deceased was identified as a resident of Maha Induruwa area.

The driver of the motor vehicle had been arrested and further investigations are being carried out by the Kosgoda police.
