Public Servants Day of National Food Production Battle commence today

Today (11) is the Public Servants Day of National Food Production Battle,and the inauguration ceremony in this regard will be held at the Auditorium of Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council.

President Maithripala Sirisena launched the National Food Production Battle on October 06, aiming at taking forward the national food production programme, at Kekirawa in Anuradhapura.

A number of programs will be introduced parallel to the National Food Production Battle, which directly involves public servants in plantation.

Planting 100,000 plants by public servants, starting home gardens in all state institutions, starting home gardens in government quarters with sufficient space are a number of programs that will be operated parallel to the National Food Production week.
