Nine treasure hunters arrested

Nine men were arrested at Habarana, Palugaswewa forest reserve for allegedly engaging in treasure hunting.
The arrest was made following a tip off received by Habarana Police Station.
The Police seized a backhoe, rock drilling machine, mining equipment and several other equipments with the suspect.
The suspects, are residents of Habarana,Dambulla,Kantale,Inamaluwa,Police said.
They will be produced before the Kekirawa Magistrate’s Court today (12)
Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by Habarana Police.
