Delimitation Commission extends time period to receive feedback

Delimitation Commission has decided to receive feedback and proposals on the establishment of electorate divisions for members who will be appointed for Provincial Councils under administrative Districts.
These electorate divisions will be established under Provincial Councils Elections (Amendment) Act, No. 17 of 2017.
Accordingly, these proposals are to be obtained to select 50% appropriate number of members to be eligible for Provincial Councils under the respective Administrative District.
The time period to send feedback and proposals was extended until November 02, and letters and documents pertaining to the proposals should be handed over in written format ,said the Secretary of Delimitation Commission Saman Sri Rathnayaka.
