Infrastructure development of Sri Lanka’s first ‘Techno City’ commences

The development of infrastructure facilities of the first techno city of Sri Lanka has commenced, the Western development and Megapolis Ministry announced. 

An amount of Rs.100 million has been allocated for this purpose from the recent budget, the Ministry said.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe launched the first phase of the Techno City at Homagama recently.

The Techno City initiative aims in transforming the country into a strong economic and technological hub in the Indian Ocean region by attracting new foreign investments.
