Stern legal action against anyone causing violence PM

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stated that stern legal action will be taken against any individual found causing violence or unrest during his visit to Gintota today (19).
The Police curfew imposed in 7 regions within Galle was lifted at 6.00am today (19), with no reports of violence recorded.
Police curfew was imposed in Kurunduwatha, Mahahapugala, Welipitimodara, Ukwaththa, Gintota East, Gintota West and Piyandigama from 6.00pm yesterday (18), to 6.00am today (19).
Law enforcement officials’ state that the STF forces and Army personnel stationed in several areas of Galle will continue to conduct routine activity today (19).
The Police Spokesman said that the curfew was imposed in order to control a tense situation that prevailed in the area and to restore normalcy.
According to report, several houses and shops have been attacked by angry mobs in the Gintota area on Friday (17).
Reports confirm that 200 police officers and over 100 STF operatives have been stationed in the south following instructions of IGP Pujith Jayasundara.
