Trains on main line delayed due to collision at Wattala

Train services on the Kelani Valley line have been delayed due to a collision between a train and a container truck at the Hunupitiya-Wattala railway crossing. 

The Railway Control Room reported that the collision occurred between a truck and a train travelling towards Madakalapuwa from Colombo. 

Railway authorities have stated that efforts to remove the container from the crash site have been commenced. 

All passengers have been informed of a delay to all trains running on the Kelani Valley line.
