Inability to contain Galle incident has raised cause for concern – IGP

Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara stated that Galle incident should be considered as precedent in mitigating communal violence within Sri Lanka.
He further stated that the inability to contain the situation as soon as it arose has caused great unrest within the force.
The IGP expressed these sentiments following an event held in Galle.
