One dead after motorcycle collides with navy truck

A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident involving a truck belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy and a motorcycle near the 33rd Km Post in Wadduwa.
The heavy vehicle, belonging to the Navy camp in Welisara, was traveling from Panadura to Kalutara when it rammed into the back of a motorcycle heading in the same direction.
The motorcyclist was then run over by the truck and was killed instantly. The deceased has been identified as a 42-year-old resident of Galpatha.
The naval officer who was driving the vehicle at the time has been arrested while police are conducting further investigations.
