SLRHC to probe suicide of 17 year old detainee

The Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission has launched an investigation into the suicide of a 17 year old detainee at the Pettah Police station.
Media spokesperson of the SLHRC stated that the SLRHC has made a request from the IGP to allow officials to conduct the investigation as an independent body.
