2,564 wanted suspects arrested in island-wide operation

A total of 2,564 wanted suspects have been arrested in connection with various crimes following an island-wide police operation this morning (24).
Meanwhile 4,735 cases have been filed for traffic violations during the special operation, according to Police Media Unit.
The operations were carried out on the directions of Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara from 2 am until 6 am today with the participation 16,526 police officers.
