Train services disrupted on upcountry railway line due to derailment

Train services on the upcountry railway line have been disrupted owing to a train derailment, the Railway Control Room said. 

Yesterday’s night mail train from Colombo Fort to Badulla had derailed between Demodara and Ella railway stations.

Steps are currently being taken to restore services on the upcountry line to normalcy, it said.
