All Island Private Bus Operators Association says that it intends to reach a final agreement regarding the bus fare revision today (17).

The association had recently stated that an increase in bus fares in line with the fuel price hike is needed and that the government would be given a three-day time period to provide a solution to the issue.

However, since the government has failed to respond to the issue, All Island Private Bus Operators Association intends to reach a final agreement on the prospective actions that should be taken regarding bus fare revision, said the General Secretary of association Anjana Priyanjith.

Meanwhile, All Island Multi-day Vessel Owners Association has decided to withdraw from fishing activities from next month in order to protest against the fuel price hike.
