Fonseka grilled by CID for 4 hours

Minister Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka has left the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) after recording a statement on the abduction of journalist Keith Noyahr.

Minister arrived at the CID at around 12 noon today (25) and was questioned by the CID for nearly 4 hours on the case.

Noyahr, the former Deputy Editor of an English weekly newspaper, was abducted on May 22, 2008. A day later, he was dropped off near his residence, badly beaten up and bruised.
