No essential drugs have been pulled from market – Rajitha

None of the essential and good-quality drugs have been removes from the market, says Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne.

There is no truth in the reports published by several newspapers in the recent days stating that essential drugs have been pulled from the market, he said.

Presenting such baseless information to the public alarms and inconveniences the patients, Minister points out.

He further said that the use of drugs has gone up by 600 percent due to the price reduction of 73 essential medicines.
