195 quarantined persons sent home today

Another batch of persons, who had returned to Sri Lanka from abroad, is to leave quarantine centers today (02) after undergoing a 14-day mandatory quarantine process.

Accordingly, 195 individuals will leave quarantine centers operated by the Sri Lanka Army, stated Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.

Meanwhile, 100 persons, including foreigners, from Punani and Vanni quarantine centers were sent home yesterday (01) upon completion of their quarantine period.

A total of 2121 persons who were placed under quarantine upon arrival from overseas have been sent back to their homes while over 1500 are still undergoing quarantine at quarantine centers, stated Sri Lanka Army.
