Coronavirus infections hike to 1,561 with two new patients

Sri Lanka’s infections count went up to 1,561 as two more persons were identified as COVID-19-positive.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that these fresh cases are naval personnel undergoing quarantine.
Earlier today (30), a total of 27 coronavirus patients were discharged from Colombo East Base Hospital, Navy Hospital, Minuwangoda Base Hospital and Homagama Base Hospital as they have recovered completely. This brought the recoveries tally to 781.
The number of actives cases currently under medical stands at 770, according to the Epidemiology Unit.
Sri Lanka reported its 10th COVID-19 death on May 25 as a 51-year-old woman who had arrived in the country from Kuwait succumbed to the disease.
