Suspect nabbed with over 6kg of heroin in Katunayake

The Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) has arrested suspect with over 6 kilograms of heroin at Kurana, Katunayake in the Negombo police division.
The arrest was made during a raid carried out based on information received by PNB officers last night (15). The drugs, packed into six bags, were found inside a parcel.
A total of 6 kg and 137 grams of heroin was seized during the operation while a 45-year-old suspect, a resident of Katunayake, was taken into custody.
The PNB is conducting further investigations into the incident.
