Embilipitiya principal caught taking Rs 150,000 bribe

The principal of a leading school in Embilipitiya has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
Reportedly, the principal in question had obtained a bribe for enrolling a student to Grade 01.
She had been arrested while accepting a bribe of Rs 150,000, stated CIABOC.
The Bribery Commission said that the arrest was made at around 10 am this morning (02), based on a complaint received by them.
Further investigations are currently under, the Commission said.
The arrested principal will be produced before the Embilipitiya Magistrate’s Court this evenning.
