BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya passes away

Jagmohan Dalmiya, the president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), passed away at a city hospital on Sunday evening following a massive cardiac arrest. He was 75.
Dalmiya is survived by his wife Chadralekha, daughter Vaishali and son Abhishek.
Dalmiya was admitted to hospital three days back after he complained of chest pain.
He was admitted to B M Birla Hospital on Thursday night after which he also underwent a coronary angiography.
“Jagmohan Dalmiya suffered a massive gastrointestinal tract hemorrhage. Despite all the efforts of doctors, he succumbed to the bleeding at around 8.45pm,” said Dr Anil Mishra of BM Birla Hospital.
Dalmiya’s death plunged the cricket fraternity into a grief as reactions poured in from former cricketers and administrators condoling his demise.
President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nation in mourning Dalmiya.
